In this article, I’ll be sharing with you useful tips you can apply to grab your readers attention and get them to come back for more.

WHAT PEOPLE ALWAYS WANT TO READ

It’s more than just about the topic you’re writing about that matters; it’s about the story you tell that includes your reader.  People will always visit your blog if they like your writing style or they like the way you carry them along when writing blog posts.

UNDERSTANDING THE MIND OF YOUR READERS

Take it or leave it, the reason why people search for information online is because they have challenges or problems that needs attention.  If you want readers to become potential buyers on your blog, you need to understand their desires, needs and wants.  Sense their challenges and provide them with the solutions.

Just in case you don’t know how to find what problems or challenges your blog readers have, let me show you…

Your readers will always ask questions and leave comments, whether they are complimenting you on the information you shared or complaining about an issue you may not have covered.  You can sense their major challenges and problems through these questions and comments.

Check out online forums, Quora, Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms where your target market visits.  Take some time to read and listen to your audience.  What are they saying, needing or wanting?

Writing a blog post is not only about writing constructive and informative content; it’s about you telling the story that matters to your readers!  It’s the way you present yourself.  Are you confident about the information you’re sharing?  If you’re not, it’s just a matter of time; your readers will sense your fear or lack of knowledge and they end up not trusting you or what you’re sharing.

DAZZLE YOUR READERS WITH ‘’WOW’’ CONTENT

To take this further, if you want your readers to bring in their friends, colleagues or partners as subscribers, you need to dazzle them with topics that catch their attention and gets them talking.

Start by using your keywords and then wrapping them with descriptive verbiage that is attention grabbing, enlightening and helpful to your reader right from the beginning.

Stuck on what words to use?  It is ok to visit your competitors!  That’s right …. Figure out who some of your top competitors are and visit their blog/sites.  Of course never copy or plagiarize, but some of my best blog posts came from my competitors own words that gave me even better ideas of what to say to my audience.

WRITE WITH PASSION

You must learn to write the way you feel while sharing the information that is valuable to your audience.  It’s not about using big words; it’s about the creativity and passion you put into your writing that creates that story for your audience.  Learn to write the way you’ll talk to a friend.

You need to be yourself, speaking honestly and wisely when writing blog posts.  Never try to sell your product or service when writing; your readers don’t want your service yet!  They want to see how you communicate to them like you’re their friend.  Therefore, your blog posts needs to be informative, unique, dynamic, and fun to read.
